Formfy is an AI Agreement Engine for SMS-first client onboarding.
7 Best Formfy Alternatives in 2026
Formfy is an AI Agreement Engine for SMS-first client onboarding — built for service businesses and B2B teams that need to generate, send, sign, and get paid on agreements via mobile. It's not the right tool for every job. Here are seven alternatives — DocuSign, PandaDoc, Adobe Sign, Jotform, Smartwaiver, Typeform, and Formstack — and exactly when you'd pick each one over Formfy.
When Formfy isn't the right fit
Before the list, here are four honest reasons to skip Formfy entirely:
- You need enterprise CLM with Salesforce CPQ integration. DocuSign is the standard. Formfy doesn't do contract lifecycle management at scale and isn't trying to.
- You're working in legacy PDF-and-Acrobat workflows. Adobe Sign's depth in PDF tooling, redaction, and Acrobat ecosystem integration is unmatched. We don't compete there.
- You need a single quick-poll workflow with no signature or payment. Typeform's UX for that single use case is hard to beat.
- You need a free or near-free option and your volume is tiny. Jotform and Fillout free tiers cover more than Formfy's free trial, and that's by design.
If none of those describe you, the seven options below are who we'd point you to depending on what you need.
1. DocuSign
The category-defining e-signature platform. Built for enterprise legal teams running thousands of signed agreements through Salesforce, NetSuite, and legacy enterprise tooling.
- Pick DocuSign when… Your buyer's procurement team requires a Fortune-500-vetted vendor, or you need CLM (negotiation, redlining, archival) at scale.
- Skip it when… You're a service business that needs SMS delivery, AI generation, or payment in the signing flow.
- One-sentence verdict: The category leader for enterprise legal, overkill for SMB service workflows.

2. PandaDoc
Proposal-and-quote-centric platform. Strong for sales teams that want quotes, contracts, and signatures in one document.
- Pick PandaDoc when… Your revenue team sends a lot of proposals and you want the quote, the contract, and the signature in one flow with Salesforce CPQ integration.
- Skip it when… Your use case is closer to client intake than B2B proposal automation.
- One-sentence verdict: The best fit for proposal-heavy SaaS sales motions.

3. Adobe Sign
Deep PDF/Acrobat integration and legacy enterprise IT compatibility.
- Pick Adobe Sign when… You're already on Adobe Document Cloud, or your team works in Acrobat all day, or you need deep PDF redaction and form-field tooling.
- Skip it when… You want AI-generated forms or SMS-first workflows.
- One-sentence verdict: The right pick for Acrobat-native teams and PDF-heavy legacy workflows.

4. Jotform
Form-builder-first with signature support added on. Strongest free tier in the category.
- Pick Jotform when… You need form collection with optional signing, you're price-sensitive at small volume, or you want a deep template library across hundreds of vertical use cases.
- Skip it when… Signing and payment are central to your workflow, not optional.
- One-sentence verdict: The form builder that does signatures, when Formfy is overkill.

5. Smartwaiver
Waiver-and-release specialist. Built for the gym, fitness, tattoo, and event-vendor segments where waivers are the entire workflow.
- Pick Smartwaiver when… Your business is 100% waiver collection at the front door, you have an iPad kiosk setup, and you don't need AI generation or non-waiver agreements.
- Skip it when… You also need consent forms, intake forms, or payment collection in the same flow.
- One-sentence verdict: Excellent at one thing; we generalize the same workflow.

6. Typeform
Conversational-form specialist. Best-in-class form UX for surveys, quizzes, and lead capture.
- Pick Typeform when… Completion rate matters more than anything else, and your form is a survey or lead capture rather than a binding agreement.
- Skip it when… You need legally binding signing, payment collection, or SMS delivery.
- One-sentence verdict: Beautiful forms; we go past the form into the signature and the payment.

7. Formstack
Mid-market enterprise form platform with deep integrations into Salesforce and ServiceNow.
- Pick Formstack when… Your forms feed enterprise CRM/ITSM systems and you have an IT department that vets vendors.
- Skip it when… You're a service business or SMB without those enterprise integration requirements.
- One-sentence verdict: The mid-market workhorse for enterprise-integrated form collection.

Still curious about Formfy?
You've now seen the honest list. If you're still here, the workflows Formfy was built for are:
- Service businesses (med spas, fitness studios, salons, tattoo shops, healthcare practices) that need consent forms sent by SMS, signed on mobile, and tied to a deposit.
- B2B teams (sales ops, HR, legal ops) generating agreements from prompts and routing them to signers faster than the DocuSign + Calendly + Stripe stack allows.
